Our Mission
The Demuth Museum of Art preserves and promotes the groundbreaking work of American Modern artist Charles Demuth; showcases the work of local, national, and international artists to the Lancaster community; and inspires new generations through its programs. The collections, exhibitions, educational programs, and public initiatives of our multiple facilities foster creativity and appreciation of art and artists.
Our Impact
Each year, the Demuth Museum of Art welcomes over 10,000 visitors across two locations and serves over 2,000 participants through educational programming and public outreach efforts. In addition to displaying Demuth’s work, the organization annually mounts 15 special exhibitions, hosts a Community Art Exhibition, and displays local student artwork with the Lancaster County Young Artists Awards.
