Between Worlds: Voices of Migration and Passage is an exhibition that brings together 8 local artists, who, through their work, explore the profound emotional and physical journey that migration entails. Each step along the way feels like a dull crackling, a distant tearing at the roots of the land that is no longer home, that is no longer theirs. Migration is not just the movement of the body; it is the crossing of distances that embed themselves in the skin, the gaze, and the art.
This special exhibition will be on view in the Demuth Program Center (116 East King Street) during ArtWalk weekend (May 3 & 4), followed by Fridays and Saturdays only, 10 am - 4 pm, throughout May.
