Community Garden Party

Join us for our annual Community Garden Party! There’s plenty to see and do as you stroll around our historic garden at the Demuth Museum. We will have ice cream for purchase from the Greco’s Ice Cream Truck, cut flowers for sale from Monarch Gardens, and feature organizations from our community, including Lancaster County Chooses Love and Lancaster Science Factory! Organizations will have a small activity to take part in or handouts to learn about their upcoming summer programs. All ages are welcome to this free event!

In partnership with Eurofins, we present a week of artistic experimentation! Each day will have a new set of experiments that will make a piece of art, make our art material for the day, or reveal a tasty snack! There may even be some science magic during the week!

All materials are provided during this camp including snacks. Participants must bring their own lunches.

Summer may almost be over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun! Join us as our Program Center transforms into an underwater experience! Our art for the week will be all things ocean and water themed from sculptures, to fun snacks, to collages. Participants even get to make their very own pet jellyfish!

Family Movie Night at the Museum

Join us for a family movie night at the Lancaster Museum of Art! Explore the museum and family-friendly activities from 6:30 - 8 pm, then take a seat in Musser Park to enjoy a screening of Night at the Museum (2006) at 8 pm! Bring your own blankets and chairs. Food will be available for purchase from Walk-o Taco and Greco’s Ice Cream!

Movie Night is free for all to attend thanks to the support of Art Bridges.

Demuth Walking Tour

Demuth Museum volunteer David T. Shoemaker leads walking tours following the route of Charles Demuth’s evening stroll. The one-mile tour will make stops at locations significant to Demuth along the way (several with benches) where David will discuss different facets of Charles’ life, point out views and inspirations for some of his paintings, and introduce some of the people who helped shape his life. Space is limited to ensure a great experience for all participants.

Join us at our museums for a day of coffee and art in the Coffee Crawl! Visit the Lancaster Museum of Art to view our current exhibitions, stop by at 11 am for a gallery talk, and enjoy coffee thanks to Rachel’s Cafe & Creperie! Also stop by the Demuth Museum to view a special exhibition in our Program Center by the Demuth Teen Council and enjoy coffee courtesy of Wired Cup Cafe!
