The Demuth Museum of Art is open all summer long with 3 interactive kids spaces for our youngest visitors to explore!

Join us at 120 East King Street every 1st & 4th Tuesday (6/2, 6/23, 7/7, 7/28, 8/4, & 8/25) at 11 AM for an art story time! We will choose a new kids book from our mini library to read with time afterwards for kids to explore the museum. Recommended ages based on the books are 3-7, but all ages are welcome.

Come join the Summer Sketchbook Club! This summer, keep your creativity going as kids from ages 6-16 can join our club to fill up a sketchbook to earn a creative prize bag! At our launch party on June 5 from 4 - 7 pm at 135 N Lime Street, kids can pick up their free sketchbook and enjoy free snacks, face painting, and stations from local organizations to start filling their sketchbooks. Sketchbooks will be available for pick up throughout the summer at the front desk of the museum during operating hours. 

Sketchbooks can then be brought back to the museum on August 29th from 6 PM - 10 PM during our Museum Movie Night! Show us your completed sketchbook and receive your prize bag, including free ice cream from Greco's Ice Cream for the free movie starting at 8 PM in Musser Park.

In partnership with Eurofins, we present a week of artistic experimentation! Each day will have a new set of experiments that will make a piece of art, make our art material for the day, or reveal a tasty snack! There may even be some science magic during the week!

Summer may almost be over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun! Join us as our Program Center transforms into a fantasy experience! Our art for the week will be all things fantasy themed from sculptures, to fun snacks, to collages.
