Amanda Bock (she/her) is the Lynne and Harold Honickman Assistant Curator of Photographs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She was a collaborating curator on the recent retrospective exhibition of photographer Judith Joy Ross (2023), and has organized numerous exhibitions for the PMA including Keith Smith at Home (2018) and Another Way of Telling: Women Photographers from the Collection (2017). She has written and lectured extensively about the work of photographer Paul Strand, and served as co-curator of a large traveling retrospective of his work in 2014. Upcoming projects include the 2024 exhibition In the Right Place: Photographs by Barbara Crane, Melissa Shook, and Carol Taback and the provisionally-titled exhibition and publication, No Art without Action: the life and photography of Dorothy Norman.
