Policies

No food or drink is permitted in the galleries, unless otherwise specified. Backpacks and large bags (larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches) are not permitted in the galleries and may be checked at the welcome desk. Non-flash photography is permitted at the Lancaster Museum of Art and select galleries at the Demuth Museum.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for the safety of visitors, volunteers, and staff at our museum. You must follow all posted signage and instructions from personnel while on site. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present and by visiting the Demuth Museum or Lancaster Museum of Art you voluntarily assume all risks associated with COVID-19.

Face masks are currently not required at our museums. Face masks are available at our welcome desk at both museums.

By entering The Demuth Museum or Lancaster Museum of Art, you are confirming that you and all persons in your party:

  • have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days

  • are not experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at CDC.gov and including:

    • Fever or chills

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    • Fatigue

    • Muscle or body aches

    • Headache

    • New loss of taste or smell

    • Sore throat

    • Congestion or runny nose

    • Nausea or vomiting

    • Diarrhea

  • are not under any self-quarantine orders 

  • have not been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a 14-day quarantine

If you are unable to agree to any of the above guidelines, we ask that you please delay your visit to the Demuth Museum or Lancaster Museum of Art until you are able to do so.

If for whatever reason on the day of your arrival that you or members of your party should feel unwell, we ask that you reschedule your visit. We thank you in advance for your patience and support!
