Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Virgil Sova studied painting and design at Carnegie Mellon University, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and The Cleveland Institute of Art. His work has been exhibited nationally and throughout Europe, and he has received numerous awards including top honors from the Pastel Society of America. After working as a designer, illustrator, and art director with major companies in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and New York, he now splits his time between Pennsylvania and Spain and paints full-time.
