Daisies was exhibited at Alfred Stieglitz's An American Place Gallery in New York, likely in one of the three posthumous exhibitions mounted there between 1936-39 that included Demuth's work. Demuth first met Stieglitz in 1914, but did not exhibit with the photographer and gallerist until the latter part of his career. While tangentially aligned in several of these exhibitions with fellow artists including Arthur Dove, John Marin, and Georgia O'Keeffe whom Stieglitz championed, Demuth's work remained distinct from that of his contemporaries, and to a degree from Stieglitz's own vision of the new American art.
