PHILADELPHIA BUS TRIP IN MARCH

The Demuth Foundation will sponsor a trip to Philadelphia on 3 March 2003, for a special tour of what promises to be a blockbuster exhibition, Degas and the Dance, and also to visit the annual Philadelphia Flower Show.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art will open Degas and the Dance only for groups on Monday morning, March 3rd. A tour-guide will lead us through an exhibition featuring over 150 works in various media, exploring Degas's investigation over some 40 years of the dance world that was central to the culture of Paris at the time.

Following this private tour, a five-course lunch -- including appetizers, pasta, entree, salad, and dessert - will be served at Maggiano's Restaurant.

The visit will then conclude with a stop at the largest indoor flower show in the world and return to Lancaster by about 6 pm.

The inclusive cost is $105 per member of the Foundation and $115 for non-members.

Those interested in going should consult the enclosed reservation form and submit it to the Foundation no later than February 15th.
