2016 ADULT ART CLASSES - Art on the Portico

Wed., May 18: Drawing with Rick Huck

Wed., August 17: Watercolor with Steve Wilson

Each class will be held from 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Lancaster Museum of Art, 135 N. Lime Street. The mural class with Jeff Geib will be held in the second floor galleries, while the drawing and watercolor classes will be held on the Portico. Wine and snacks will be provided, as well as all necessary art materials. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

About the Instructors:

JEFF GEIB has taught independently as well as at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Currently Jeff is a professor at Elizabethtown College and continues to make his own artwork centered on drawing and printmaking.
Jeff will lead a class in the second floor galleries about mural drawing inspired by his exhibition in the downstairs galleries. Jeff has taken on the unprecedented challenge of creating extra-large scale charcoal drawings on the walls of traditional vanitas subjects.

RICK HUCK recently retired from teaching at the Ephrata School District. Rick also taught at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design and has shown his work in a variety of local exhibitions as well as internationally.
Rick will lead a drawing class for adults of all levels of experience to help increase their ability in drawing from observation.

STEVE WILSON is a full time artist who specializes in watercolor. He has also worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. Steve is a member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Baltimore Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Watercolor Club.
Steve will teach a class on the Portico for adults of all levels of experience with the watercolor medium.
